Specialised CIH housing courses
Enhance your staffs skills and confidence through online Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) courses.
Housing and property management occupations are administrative, customer facing and primarily responsible for the creation and sustainment of successful tenancies in the private and social rented housing sectors. This work must comply with contractual, statutory and legal regulations and approved Codes of Practice.
We offer a range of blended online learning courses from Level 2 – Level 4 to help develop your staffs’ skills and knowledge to work effectively, and with confidence. Free CIH membership is provided during the period of study for these qualifications.
Plus, advanced learner loan are available to cover part of the course fees (Level 3 & 4 only).
What is blended online learning?
Blended learning is a mixture of online teaching and support, and distance learning using the course materials on Moodle and your own research and reading. Training is delivered through a combination of online teaching with expert tutors via video links and self-directed learning via online resources.
Courses available:
Level 2 Certificate in Housing Practice – Blended Learning
This course will provide you and your staff with an introduction to housing focusing on four units including housing provision, customer service, professional development, assets, repair and maintenance.
- Duration: 6 months, approximately 6 hours study a week
- Cost : £500 (funding available)
- Starts: 10th February 2021
Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice – Blended Learning
This courses will provide you and your staff with a broader knowledge and understanding of key areas in delivering housing services. You will study a total of eight units from the housing system, occupancy, tenure and letting to dealing with anti-social behaviour in housing.
- Duration: 52 weeks, approximately 6 hours study a week
- Cost : £1500 (Advanced learner loan available to cover part of the course fees)
- Starts: 16th February 2021
Level 4 Certificate in Housing – Blended Learning
This course will provide you and your staff with a broader knowledge and understanding of key areas in delivering housing services. You will study a total of six units including housing policy, housing law, finance, housing need, demand and supply, management services and professional practice.
- Duration: 52 weeks, approximately 6 hours study a week
- Cost : £2500 (Advanced learner loan available to cover part of the course fees)
- Starts: 11th February 2021
